I’m Alden E Gibson, the proud owner of Inspections by Gibson.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I started my career as a custom home builder, more than three decades ago. As I had expertise in renovations, friends would ask me to inspect a home before they purchased it.

It got me thinking that home inspections were a much-needed service for the public, so I started to do some research and stumbled across the American Society Of Home inspectors Inc. (ASHI).

They were the only home inspector association at the time. After speaking to representatives at the organization and discovering their high standards, I decided to qualify as an ASHI Certified inspector. I have now been a home inspector in Waterloo, Ontario, for the past twenty-nine years.

Over the past few years, I have noticed that the public is more aware of what a home inspection is thanks to the information readily available on the internet. However, many home inspectors print business cards but do not have the qualifications to carry out the job.

I enjoy putting things into perspective for the client and help them make sound decisions when they are making the biggest purchase of their life. I am always upfront and stand up for my clients, which has made me successful.

My honesty and integrity have made me stand out, and this goodwill has converted into referrals from previous clients. My reputation has earned me the honor of becoming President of the American Society of Home Inspectors in 2015. It was voted for by my peers, which made the experience even more rewarding.

When I am not conducting home inspections, I enjoy fishing for bass and trout, and traveling around the country, to visit fun places. I also like to raise money for various charities, especially the Heart fund for St Mary’s Hospital.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
